Your privacy
Psyche Health respects your privacy. Ferris Amaro is responsible for the practice’s handling of personal and health information and responds to privacy questions, concerns, and record requests.
What information is collected
Information may include your contact details, appointment information, relevant health history, and clinical notes. It is used to respond to inquiries, provide psychotherapy, manage appointments, maintain records, and meet professional and legal obligations.
The website inquiry form collects your name, email address, and phone number through Webflow. Please avoid sending sensitive clinical information through website inquiries or ordinary email.
Appointments, records, and supervision
Psyche Health uses Jane for appointments and clinical records. Ferris personally writes clinical notes and is the only person at the practice with routine access to client records.
Sessions are not audio- or video-recorded. AI tools are not used to prepare clinical notes. Client cases may be discussed in clinical supervision with identifying details removed.
Service providers supporting the practice may process information as needed to deliver their services.
Consent and confidentiality
Your information is collected, used, and disclosed with appropriate consent, except where permitted or required by law. Limits to confidentiality are explained during the informed-consent process.
You may ask questions or withhold or withdraw consent for particular uses or disclosures, subject to legal restrictions. Any implications for your care will be explained.
Website analytics and your choices
Google Analytics is optional and remains off unless you select Accept analytics. If accepted, it helps us understand website visits, booking-link clicks, and successful inquiries.
The practice’s inquiry-tracking code does not send inquiry-field contents or clinical notes to Google Analytics. Google may process website activity outside Canada.
You can select Reject analytics without affecting your ability to contact the practice or book. Your choice is saved in this browser for approximately six months and can be changed through Cookies Settings in the footer. Rejecting analytics does not stop the technical processing needed to operate the website or handle a form you submit.
Protection and retention
Reasonable safeguards are used to protect information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, and loss. No electronic service is completely risk-free.
Records are retained and securely disposed of according to applicable legal and professional requirements.
Access, corrections, and concerns
To request access to your records, request a correction, or raise a privacy concern, contact ferris.amaro@proton.me. Requests are handled according to applicable law, including any permitted exceptions.
You may also complain directly to the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario.
